This is the Booklikes profile to my blog AYA M. Productions.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm a bookseller, post graduate job seeker, avid reader, and a blogger. :)
Note: I received a finished copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. I was not paid to write this. All opinions are my own. Additionally this is the second book in a series. The first book was All He Wants.
To be honest, All He Needs was a bit boring. I think it unfortunately fell into that unfortunate second book syndrome, where it just doesn’t quite live up to the first and acts more just as a filler to the last book. C.C. Gibbs wrote a great beginning and a great end to All He Needs. I loved Dominic and I loved Kate. The middle just bore me more than I would have liked making it hard to keep up with.
I think the biggest issue I had with the middle of the book was that it felt like a never ending cycle. Kate and Dominic fought. They made up. They continuously ignored and refused to discuss their feelings. & It all happened over and over. I hate to say, but I really got bored and was waiting for the drama to happen. I think the middle definitely could have been shortened a bit.
The beginning and the end though, I loved. I loved how Kate and Dominic came together again. The end was also a bit clichéd, following a common plot twist many romances have. I loved how C.C. Gibbs twisted it to fit their story though, and it turned out to be great. LOVED IT! & That last chapter. SWOON. I thought it was definitely the most romantic moment of the entire book.
All-in-all, I thought the story could have been shortened. The middle fell short compared to the beginning and the end. All He Needs by C.C. Gibbs was a solid second book though. Plus after that end, I’m definitely interested in reading All He Desires, the last and final book.
