Someone Else’s Fairytale by Emily Mah Tippetts is one of my favorites. Perhaps I’m biased because I love that the heroine – Chloe – is studying forensic science like me. Plus I’d totaly love to find my own Jason. Regardless of my personal connection to the characters, I love how the plot is unique from other girl meets famous actor plot lines.

Firstly this isn’t an insta-love story. Sure once they’re together things progress a bit quickly, but it’s more-or-less a realistic relationship timeline. Chloe even has another potential love interest, which initially causes some problems with Jason. I seriously did not like the other guy at all! So glad he and Chloe didn’t end up together.

Moving on… Chloe’s issue with her family was also an interesting twist. I knew something probably happened – something emotionally and physically scarring – but I wouldn’t have guessed that. I’m also kind of shocked that Chloe’s secret coming out didn’t bring Jason and Chloe closer to each other, especially since Chloe is such a private person.

And of course, I totally adore Jason! He’s so sweet and nice. I’d totally date him if he were real! Haha!

So I’d give Someone Else’s Fairytale five stars! The sequel – Nobody’s Damsel – is out as well, released earlier this year. I don’t think the sequel is as good as this one, in my opinion, but I’d still recommend both!
