Note: I received an eARC of this title for an honest review. In no way did this affect my opinion of the book. Also Fighting for Infinity is the conclusion for the Kindrily series. This review may contain some spoilers for previous books. To check out my reviews of the previous books go to the following links: Grasping at Eternity (Book 1) and Taking Back Forever (Book 2).
Fighting for Infinity by Karen Amanda Hooper was quite possibly the perfect ending. All of my questions were answered. All of the conflict was resolved. Plus the story had many twists along the way.
There was really only one disappointment. I thought the beginning was extremely slow. Maryah had difficulty grasping what needed to be done. Her kindrily had no clue what to do. Plus there really wasn’t anything all that interesting about a soul being trapped with a girl that simply talked in riddles. So I got bored during most of the beginning, but I continued to read because I knew it’d get good soon enough.
Once the action picked up, I loved all of the revelations and the plot twists. I never would have guessed it all, and yet it all made perfect sense. Dedrick turned out to be super creepy and deranged, more so than I originally thought he was. It definitely turned out to be a great ending.
Karen Amanda Hooper had asked in her ending Acknowledgements what readers would like to see from this work now that the trilogy is over. Personally, I’d love to see Nathan and Maryah’s honeymoon. They didn’t get much time together in Fighting for Infinity, and when they did, there was always some sort of drama. So I’d love to read that. Secondly, I’d love to read more about Rina. If you don’t know who Rina is, you’ll have to read Fighting for Infinity. No way am I spoiling that interesting plot twist. ;)
All in all though, I loved Fighting for Infinity by Karen Amanda Hooper. It was a great conclusion to Maryah’s story. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Karen Amanda Hooper and the Kindrily.
